In the room

What happens in your session.

Every session starts with a quick chat about your goals, training load and any niggles. Then we combine hands-on treatment with practical mobility work.

Hands-on treatment

Some of the techniques used

Soft tissue release (STR)
Firm, targeted pressure on a tight spot while the muscle is lengthened, to help it glide and move freely again.
Pin and stretch
An active version of STR. I pin the tight spot while you move the limb through a stretch, releasing tension and improving range in one motion.
Myofascial release
Slow, sustained pressure to free up restricted tissue so you move better.
Trigger point therapy
Focused work on tender knots to relieve pain and referral patterns.
Cross-fibre friction
Breaks down adhesions and supports tendon and scar tissue recovery.
Assisted stretching & PNF
Stretches combined with muscle contractions to gain length and range.

Mobility work

Joint assessment
We check how your joints move to find where you're stiff or limited.
CARs (Controlled Articular Rotations)
Slow, full-range joint movements that build control and body awareness.
PAILs & RAILs
Loading at end range to expand your usable mobility and make the gains stick.

Leave with a clear next step and a few simple exercises to keep progress going between sessions.
